PAIRING 29 & 30: FINAL FOUR

Writer's picture: Breanna PatzBreanna Patz

This is Day Twenty-Nine and Thirty of the March Madness poultry judging. For previous pairings, instructions, and a copy of the bracket, please see our other posts here.

We're down to the Final Four!! If you were paying close attention to the blog posts, results were posted later yesterday afternoon, and you can go back and review the comments and critiques on each of those if you missed it. These are the champions from each section (Largefowl, Bantam, Waterfowl, and Quail) all competing for the top two spots in the bracket.

Final Match-ups: 3BM vs Franklin & Sunny vs. LFC30

These pairings were purposefully chosen so that each species was going up against another species. This is arguably one of the hardest things to do as a judge because not only do you have to consider different colors, different types, but also different judging systems and points for each bird. Do not hesititate to go back to the Standard and read through the different values and worth for each part of the bird.

Which would you choose for both of the pairings and why?

Thank you to all of the breeders including Bryant's Roost, Austin Noah, and Jimmy Church who provided images of their breeders that made it into the Final Four!
